August 8th Stamp Class

Forest friends card & pillow box for Sharna ( Happy 17th!!)
We made the card and the Pillow box today and  i showed the girls how to make faux brads and rolled rose flowers.The note book was the lucky door prize along with a stamped candle (which i forgot to take a pic of,doh) to match the set. Today we used some of the stamp sets  that are retiring at the end of the month as a  fond farewell.To see the retiring list scroll down until u come to the retiring list post, it ends 31st August 2011.

Supplies used:
  • Card stock-pink pirouette, soft suede,whisper white
  • Ink-soft suede,
  • Stamp sets-forest friends,wonderful favorites,afterthoughts(hostess set), tiny tags,
  • Accessories-scallop trim border punch,1/4" pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon,boho blossom punch,jewelery punch,1/4" circle punch,1 3/8" circle punch( to make rose),lots of tags sizzlits,extra large oval punch,crystal effects, 2 way glue, sticky strip

Gate fold card
 This was another of the cards we made today, a gate fold card. Card base measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored @ 21/8 & 6 3/8" Designer series paper panels measure 1 7/8" x 4" flap bit measures 2" x 4" and the image bit is 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Supplies Used
  • Card stock-Pear pizzazz, melon mambo, whisper white
  • Ink-Jet black staz on, assorted markers to colour in
  • Stamp sets- Birthday bakery, short & sweet (inside)
  • Accessories-Crystal Effects,scallop oval & med oval punch, 1/4" circle hand punch,DSP stack -brights

We also made Father's Day cards! How organized are we, hehe. I still can't get over this stamp set being retired this month, i just love it, it's so sad :(
